Children

Photo of boyThroughout Eastern Europe, thousands of children live in institutions. Some are orphaned but most are abandoned because their families are simply too poor to care for them.

Mission Without Borders’ child and family sponsorship schemes are responding to these urgent human problems.

All the Children’s Homes are state owned and state ran. Through good relationships with governments and staff developed over many years, Mission Without Borders pairs individual supporters with individual children in Romania, Moldova and Ukraine. Your sponsorship not only provides encouragement to a child, but the whole Home benefits from your support.

There are thousands more children living in abject poverty with their families in little more than shanty homes. These children are helped through our Family Sponsorship scheme.

We believe that in the long term, supporting the family is key to preventing so many children in Eastern Europe ending up in orphanages. That is why we began our Family sponsorship programme. To find out more about sponsoring a family, click here.
