A ‘Gift In Kind’ from one company has made such a difference. Here’s how it happened…

Two trucks arrived in Rivne - the hub for Mission Without Borders (MWB) in Ukraine. They were loaded with new sports shoes from a well-known brand name.  After customs’ clearance, Mission Without Borders’ warehouse workers, together with volunteers from the local church, started matching the shoes - many were unpaired and mixed up!

After sorting all the shoes, we distributed:
2,600 pairs of sports shoes among 35 Children’s Homes
800 pairs of shoes to needy families
950 pairs among churches and other social organizations.

In total, 4,350 pairs of these wonderful sports shoes were given out to children and families needing good, solid footware.

Children were so excited to receive their new shoes. One child exclaimed, ‘Wow, those are my dream shoes! Look… they’re famous. I’m so grateful. Thank you. Thank you so much.’

Our workers heard similar responses from all those receiving shoes. Now everyone wears them with great pride. They say that they’ll wear them when they go to MWB’s Summer Camp.
