We always seek to respect the dignity of the families we serve, so the project is dedicated to meeting the immediate needs, such as health and nutrition, as well as agreeing a plan to help the family become self-sufficient.

This is a long-term project, and through the support and involvement of sponsors, we will continue to offer this help to families until they become self-reliant. So that no sponsor is overburdened and the family get all the support they need, we usually link four sponsors with each family.

Families receive direct assistance on a monthly basis, including food and hygiene parcels, clothing and medical supplies. They may also benefit from our other projects such as pre- and post-natal care, Summer Camps for the children, vocational training, and links with the local church.

Many families have been helped by Special Projects funded by their sponsors. These have varied from a new roof to a new refrigerator, from the provision of a sewing machine to a cow! We can let you know of possibilities from time to time.
