Spring is here: a time for new beginnings. For many in Eastern Europe, there seems little possibility of a new beginning. But because of the help you’ve been able to provide, families are moving from sheer poverty to a more sustainable lifestyle.
Sergiu and Maria live with their three young children in a small village in Moldova. Sergiu worked hard picking up work whenever he could in the construction industry. But still the family’s income was a mere £30 per month. Because of your kindness we were able to help them with basic food and hygiene items for which they were so thankful. They continued to work hard and with our help were able to buy some sheep and were given 5 piglets. Their hard work has paid off and they’ve started to produce ewe’s milk cheese. They’ve even been able to add chickens to their small holding!
Sergiu, Maria and their children now face difficulties with courage and hope for the future.
”I don’t like to recall the struggle we had before Mission Without Borders entered our lives. Everything’s completely changed. It is overwhelming to witness the grace shown to us and for that we’re so grateful to God!” said Sergiu. The whole family attend church weekly, even though it takes an hour to walk there.
