Community Page

All people deserve dignity and compassion

We are firmly placed at the heart of the communities that we work in. Our local staff use their knowledge and expertise to build trust and confidence enabling us to reach the most marginalised members of society.

Projects include:

  • Street Mercy  - working with homeless individuals to provide a hot meal, basic medical care and signposting to support services.
  • Soup Kitchens -  we operate soup kitchens for isolated older people, children and families who do not have enough money to buy food. The soup kitchen is the only place they can receive a hot meal.
  • Recreation clubs  - this includes day centre services for individuals with disabilities, those with learning difficulties and older people who have no one to care for them. Services range according to the beneficiary group from employment skills workshops to wellbeing activities.
  • Prison Care -  provides offenders rehabilitation opportunities such as vocational training, worship and biblical study, and essential hygiene items to maintain their dignity.

Our local partnerships ensure that we are able to respond appropriately to the needs of each community, and capitalise on local expertise. Run from community centres and local churches, our community outreach programme is integral to our mission.
