Governance

Our Trustees have overall control and responsibility for Mission Without Borders and are the people who lead the charity and decide how it is run. Their skills, knowledge and experience are called upon to shape the progress and development of the Mission.

Michael Thomas (Chairman)

Michael worked in the UK in the business and retail sectors and founded and ran his own print shop. In addition to this experience, he worked 25 years in intercultural and international Christian missions as a manager and in other leadership positions.  Michael strives to connect people with Christ and has a special desire to help the poor and needy in Eastern Europe.

Stephen Young

Stephen spent 34 years at KPMG, the last 23 of them as partner. Stephen was a senior and managing partner in the KPMG Baltics and Belarus practice in Northern Central Europe. His main areas of activity were auditing, corporate acquisition and forensic consulting. Stephen has accounting qualifications from his time in the UK and Australia. He also spent two years at the London School of Theology on a career break at KPMG, retiring from KPMG in 2015. Stephen is Managing Director of MWB International and joined the Mission in July 2018. He joined the UK Board of Trustees to provide leadership, support and encouragement for the team.

Mary Elizabeth Waldy

For over 25 years Liz has been working in fundraising and communication in various aid organizations. Her passion is that we all connect through fundraising to make a difference in this world and counts it an honour to support the team in the UK.

Daniel Brunner

As an engineer and business economist, Daniel has worked in various management positions in international banking for several years. He has been particularly active in the areas of project management, operational organization, risk control and compliance. For the last 5 years he has been  self-employed running his own real estate company. Daniel has campaigned for Mission Without Borders because he wants to live out his Christian faith practically working for the marginalised and disadvantaged.
